Hey! It shouldn’t really matter I don’t think! When I make it, I substitute spirulina with spinach and/or kale, and never add hemp seeds but it still tastes great! If I add leafy greens, I up the amount of apple juice (or coconut water) and banana, because I like my smoothies on the sweeter side! :) Read the full post on My New Roots for more substitute suggestions! :)
